How to search for a SuiteApp in NetSuite

Open the SuiteApp Marketplace, browse available applications, and review a listing's features, publisher, version details, and installation action without installing it.

The quick answer

Open SuiteApp Marketplace, search by application or publisher, and open the matching listing. Compare its overview, features, publisher, and version information before making a separate installation decision.

The screenshots show sample data. Person and operating-company names are fictional. Use your own records and values when following the steps.

Before you start

Use a role with SuiteApp Marketplace access, such as Administrator or a role with the required permission. Marketplace availability varies by role, center, account configuration, region, licensing, and SuiteApp compatibility.

01. Check that SuiteApp Marketplace is available

Expand Customization and SuiteCloud Development, then locate SuiteApp Marketplace. The recording shows the Marketplace entry alongside Installed SuiteApp List and Deployment Audit Trail. If SuiteApp Marketplace isn't available, check the user's role, center, and account access before continuing.

SuiteCloud Development is expanded and SuiteApp Marketplace is visible.

02. Open the Marketplace listing page

Select SuiteApp Marketplace and wait for the listing page to load. The page displays the SuiteApps area and a Sort By control; the replay shows First Release Date as the visible sort choice. The available catalog and ordering can change over time.

The SuiteApps page is open with the Sort By control visible.

03. Search for the application

Enter the application or publisher name in Search Apps. The recording searches for Ramp and narrows the catalog to one result. Check the result’s publisher before opening it.

The search returns the Ramp listing from Ramp Business Corporation.

04. Open a SuiteApp listing

Select the candidate listing to open its detail page. The replay opens Ramp and shows the Overview, Features, and Publisher sections, plus an Install action. Don't select Install or Upgrade during this read-only review.

The Ramp listing is open with its overview and available action displayed.

05. Review features and stated scope

Open Features and compare the publisher’s stated capabilities with your requirements. Treat those descriptions as listing claims, then confirm compatibility and prerequisites before installation.

The listing's feature descriptions are visible.

06. Review publisher and version information

Inspect the publisher and version fields before making a separate installation decision. In the replay, the listing shows Ramp Business Corporation, an Installed Version of -, a Latest Version of 1.1.18, and Upgrades marked Managed. These displayed values describe the listing and account-specific status at the time of review; they don't confirm installation or configuration.

Publisher, release, installation, latest-version, and upgrade fields are visible.

Check the result

  1. The SuiteApp Marketplace page opened and displayed SuiteApp listings or marketplace controls.
  2. The selected listing displayed its overview or feature information, publisher, and version details.
  3. The review ended without selecting Install or Upgrade, so no SuiteApp installation or account change was performed.

Enter the SuiteApp name or publisher in the Marketplace search field, then review the filtered listings. Results can include multiple matches, no matches, or categories and badges that vary by account and current Marketplace availability.
