Spot Late Operations on the Advanced Manufacturing Planned Operations Scorecard in NetSuite

Open the Dispatch List - Planned Operations Scorecard, read its row colors and find the individual shop-floor operations that are late even when their work orders read Released.

The quick answer

Open Advanced Manufacturing > Planning Reports > Dispatch List - Planned Operations Scorecard. Each row is one planned operation, and the legend under the table gives the row colors. In the account shown, a pink row is an operation that is Not Started although its start date is before today. Lateness belongs to the operation, so a work order can read Released and still have late operations.

The screenshots show sample data. Person and operating-company names are fictional. Use your own records and values when following the steps.

Before you start

You need Advanced Manufacturing installed, work orders with planned operations, and access to the Planning Reports menu. The scorecard is a saved search, so its filters, columns and highlight rules can differ in your account. Read the legend rather than assuming the colors.

01. Open the Planned Operations Scorecard

Open Advanced Manufacturing > Planning Reports and choose Dispatch List - Planned Operations Scorecard. The page is AM Dispatch List - Planned Operations Score Card: Results, in Report style. AM Planned Start is set to this week, so it lists the operations whose planned start falls in this week: eight operations from WO6120, WO6124, WO6131 and WO6138 in the example. Each row shows the work order, its status, the operation sequence and name, the planned start and completion, the input and completed quantity and the labor resources.

AM Dispatch List - Planned Operations Score Card: eight operations planned to start this week.

02. Read the legend

The legend under the table explains the colors. In this account pink means Start Date before Today and Status = Not Started, green means Status = Completed, yellow means Status = in Process, and a blue flag means Status = Not Started. No operation in this list is in process, so there is no yellow row. Saved search highlighting can be changed on the search's Highlighting tab by someone with permission, so check the legend in your own account.

The legend under the table lists the four highlight rules.

03. Find the late operations

Look for the pink rows. Three operations are late: Weld and Paint on WO6120, and Machine on WO6124. Each is Not Started, and its planned start is before today. Paint is not planned to finish until 10/14/2026 9:00:00 am, yet it is pink: the rule looks at the start date and status, not the planned completion. The Status column after Item is the work order status, and it reads Released on all three work orders.

Weld, Paint and Machine are pink: Not Started with a start date before today.

04. Open the work order of a late operation

Work Order, Op Seq # and Operation Name are links. Click Work Order #WO6120 on the Weld row to open the work order. Its Status reads Released, Quantity is 18 and Built is 0. The work order header does not summarize the late operations, and Built 0 only says no finished quantity has been built. The delay shows on the scorecard, so use it, and the work order's operations and related transactions, to decide what to chase. Click Back to return to the scorecard.

WO6120 is Released with nothing built; the late operations are not shown here.

05. Compare the operations of one work order

WO6120 has three rows. Weld and Paint are pink, but op 30 Pack starts 10/15/2026, so it is Not Started with a blue flag and is not late yet. WO6131 is In Process: Forge Blank and Finish are green and Completed, with a Completed Quantity of 60 each, equal to their Input Quantity. That makes those operations complete, not the whole work order, and its op 30 Final Inspect is blue. WO6138 op 10 Machine is blue too. Only the three pink operations need chasing.

WO6120 Pack is blue, WO6124 Machine is pink and WO6131 Forge Blank and Finish are green.

Check the result

  1. Every pink row is an operation whose status is Not Started and whose AM Planned Start is before today.
  2. The work order that owns a pink row can still read Released, because the color belongs to the operation.
  3. Green rows show a Completed Quantity, and blue rows have not started and are not late yet.

Common questions

Where is the Planned Operations Scorecard in NetSuite?

It is under Advanced Manufacturing > Planning Reports, named Dispatch List - Planned Operations Scorecard. It is a saved search, so your account may have renamed it or changed its filters and columns.

What do the pink, green, yellow and blue rows mean?

The legend under the table decides. In the account shown, pink is Start Date before Today and Status = Not Started, green is Completed, yellow is in Process and a blue flag is Not Started. Highlighting is part of the saved search, so your account may use different rules.

Can a work order be partly late?

Yes. The colors apply to each operation. One work order can have pink operations that should have started and blue operations that start later, as WO6120 does.

Why does the work order say Released when its operations are late?

Released is the work order status. Released is the work order status, not a statement that every operation has started. The scorecard evaluates each operation's own status and planned start, so a Released work order can have operations that did not start on time. Built can also stay at 0 while earlier operations finish, because it counts finished assembly quantity.

What does AM Planned Start do on this page?

It limits which operations are listed by their planned start date, with this week as the default in the account shown. It limits which operations are listed by their planned start date; it is a reporting filter and does not start or reschedule anything.

Does the scorecard start or reschedule an operation?

No. It reports the exception. Use the work order and your scheduling process to start, reschedule or investigate the operation.
