The quick answer
Go to Reports > Inventory/Items > Physical Inventory Worksheet. Review the item, description, preferred vendor, and on-hand quantity. The inspected example also showed a blank Physical Count column. The printed worksheet provides lines for recording a count; the report does not save a count or change inventory.
This walkthrough uses fictional people, company, item, and vendor names. The rows and quantities are sample data. Your report depends on your role, account configuration, and current inventory.
Before you start
You need access to this report and to the relevant subsidiary, location, and item data. The required access and visible context depend on role and account settings. This walkthrough ends with the report open. It does not show printing, counting stock, comparing a count, or correcting a discrepancy.
01. Open the report
From the top navigation, open Reports, point to Inventory/Items, then choose Physical Inventory Worksheet.
Wait for the report to load before reviewing the rows.
02. Review the worksheet
Check the report title and review the As of date and Subsidiary Context, if those fields appear for your account. Treat On Hand as the quantity reported for that date and context; it is not the physical count or the available quantity. In this example, the columns are Item, Description, Pref. Vendor, On Hand, and Physical Count. The sample rows show on-hand quantities and blank space in the Physical Count column. That blank space does not establish that the on-screen report accepts count entries.
The report is a count-preparation aid. Its printed worksheet provides lines for recording the physical count. Compare those results with the report’s on-hand quantity separately. This guide does not cover printing, performing the physical count, entering or approving a count, or correcting inventory. For a separate workflow that enters a count in NetSuite, see how to enter a physical count with an inventory worksheet.
This report does not support reporting by period, even when the Report by Period preference is set to All Reports. Use another report or an appropriate dated inventory process when you need a prior-period position.
Common questions
How do I open the Physical Inventory Worksheet report?
Go to Reports > Inventory/Items > Physical Inventory Worksheet, then wait for the report to finish loading. Review the report date or other visible context, followed by the listed items and their on-hand quantities.
What information does the Physical Inventory Worksheet show?
The report shows inventory item details, such as the item name and description, together with quantity on hand. Rows and visible context vary based on current account data, your role, subsidiary, location, and configuration.
Does the report include a Physical Count column?
