Save and ship a picked sales order in OzLINK Mobile

Pick three sales-order lines on the OzLINK handheld, read the Save & Ship result, and compare the sales order's picked, packed, and fulfilled quantities.

The quick answer

Open Pick Order (Single) in OzLINK Mobile Pro, finish every item and source-bin pick, then choose Save & Ship. Read the partner success screen and its fulfillment reference. On the related NetSuite sales order, compare the Picked, Packed, and Fulfilled quantities. In this example, all three columns show 4, 1, and 3 across the three lines.

This walkthrough follows a 2015 OzLINK partner demonstration, separate from native NetSuite WMS. The person and company names in the recording are fictional example data. The current production account did not expose an identifiable OzLINK menu or search result, so the handheld screens are reconstructed from the source video. Your integration may present different menus or shipping options.

Before you start

You need OzLINK Mobile Pro configured and connected to the account, access to Pick Order (Single), a working handheld scanner and network connection, an order eligible for the partner pick, and stock in the prompted bins. Item barcodes and bin mappings must match your setup. If you expect a label, check the partner's carrier, printer, and label settings separately. The example uses SO-72418 with items A-413, B-207, and C-682.

The demonstration ends with a partner success message and sales-order quantities. It does not show a finished shipping label, a printer output, a tracking number, carrier acceptance, or physical dispatch.

01 · Open the single-order pick

Choose Pick Order (Single) from the OzLINK menu. Search for SO-72418 and open the matching order. The handheld shows its item lines, source bins, and remaining quantities.

Start with the single-order pick function on the partner handheld.

02 · Scan the barcoded lines

Scan A-413 from bin H14 until its Picked count reaches 4 and Remain reaches 0. Then scan B-207 from K07 for one unit. The screenshot shows both lines complete while the third still has three remaining.

The first two lines are complete. C-682 still needs a manual pick.

03 · Enter the unbarcoded line

Select C-682 from the order lines. Enter 3 in Quantity and M02 in Bin, then choose Add To Paper Tape. Before submitting the order, confirm that every line shows Remain 0.

The manual line prompts for quantity and source bin before Add To Paper Tape.

04 · Submit Save & Ship

Choose Save & Ship rather than the separate Save button. The partner screen says the items were saved, displays partner fulfillment reference 81034, and says a shipping label is being generated. It also offers Re-Print Shipping Label and Print Packing Slip, but the demonstration does not display either output.

OzLINK shows its partner fulfillment reference and reports that a label is being generated.

05 · Check the sales order

Choose Done, then open the same sales order in NetSuite. On Items, compare Picked, Packed, and Fulfilled with each requested line. The synthetic example shows 4, 1, and 3 in all three columns. Those are the totals visible on the sales order at that moment; they may include activity from another session and do not by themselves prove which native transaction, if any, the partner action saved.

The synthetic sales-order Items sublist displays Picked, Packed, and Fulfilled quantities for comparison.

Check the result

  1. Partner result: The handheld shows saved items and fulfillment reference 81034.
  2. Sales-order result: Picked, Packed, and Fulfilled show 4, 1, and 3 by line.
  3. Further verification: If OzLINK created or updated a native Item Fulfillment, open that record and check Created From, lines, quantities, inventory detail, and status. Check whether the partner reference is mapped there. Verify a label or tracking result in your shipping system separately.

Common questions

Is Save the same as Save & Ship?

They are separate OzLINK actions where both are offered. This walkthrough selects Save & Ship. The video does not establish what the separate Save action creates or updates.

Does the fulfillment number prove that a label printed?

No. The displayed number is a partner fulfillment reference unless you verify the corresponding native record. The message that a label is being generated proves neither printing nor carrier acceptance.

Why check the sales order after the handheld says Success?

The sales order shows the Picked, Packed, and Fulfilled quantities for its item lines. They may include other activity. If a native Item Fulfillment exists, inspect its source order, lines, quantities, inventory detail, and status to verify what it records.

Will every NetSuite account have this menu?

No. The handheld belongs to an OzLINK partner integration. Its menu and shipping actions depend on the installed version, account configuration, role, and device access.
